Amended 1st Installment-The Lion's Pride-Thanks Stephanie

My hobby is that I work as an attorney in the northeast. My true profession, and the hardest work in the world, is that I am a mommy to four little boys. So the testosterone in my home can get to be a little much, especially when you throw my husband into the mix. So writing and reading about delicious romance and a lot of lovin' is my refuge. Hope you enjoy. I appreciate the feedback.
Hey everybody. I had to amend the first installment (I added another page). I know it has not been up for long, but there were zero comments. It was like the universe was suddenly still. I don't think I am a type A personality, but I suddenly was going a little nuts wondering if the subject matter was too objectionable, or was I totally screwing up this vision in my head, by trying to capture this story on paper. Well, Stephanie Morris, brilliant writer that she is, put me out of my misery and wrote a comment. It got me thinking.......
Well, of course I hope you enjoy. But good, bad or indifferent let me know what you think. The silence is just too much for my fragile ego.

Mazie, I sure I am the culprit. I have been messing around with the format all day. I condensed "Conflicts of Interest" into one submission. So now you can click on it and get all the pages in one post. Then, earlier today I had a total meltdown (thanks Tracy-I am sure nothing in your job description says you have to deal with crazy scribblers) and I added a page to "The Lion's Pride." Just click on either one and follow the pages. The full submissions should be there, let me know if you have any more problems. - Olga

Olga, I told you this after your initial post but I'll say it again..."You are officially a scribbler."
It's not about ego, it's more about validation. The feedback we receive from our readers reassures us that what we've created is worthwhile and it gives us energy to press forward. It is very difficult for us, as writers, to explain this feeling to others. I was chatting with a fellow author friend who has had several bestsellers and she mentioned that while she likes to hear from the critics, what really causes her gut to turn is awaiting the feedback from the actual readers. My point is this, we all go through it…hell I go through it every week after I post a story! I don’t come out of the fetal-position until after I’ve had a few responses! |
