Stephanie Morris
Hi Everyone!
I'm Stephanie Morris, author of contemporary African American, Interracial/Multicultural and Paranormal sensual romance (borderline erotica). I love to write according to my moods but you will always get a story that combines a sensual energy with a captivating storyline. A native of the Dallas, TX area, I currently resides in Fort Worth, TX.
My current book release's include: Better Late Than Never, Playing for Keeps and Her Every Fantasy in The Smith Sister's Trilogy. The first book in the Courtlandt's of California, Laws of Attraction is now available. Propositioning the Rich Italian, the first book in the Indulgence series is also on a shelf near you. I also have two other single title releases, Cutting to The Chase and Staking His Claim.
My upcoming works include: A Matter of Honesty, The Past Between Them, Caught Up In The Moment (the first book in the That One Night series) to name a few.
Of course! Can't just tell anyone all the "good" stuff. But boy when the "right" one comes along boy is he in for a surprise or two...
2. Ever been skinny dipping?
Yes, back in my "crazy" college days. With the right persuasion I just might do it again...
3. How often do you kiss or make out without it simply being a foreplay activity?
Hey! What is it with these couple questions? I feel like I am being discriminated against.
Anyway, when I am in a relationship I am an affectionate person and kisses happens to be one of my favorite activities. I'm normally one of those annoying people you want to tell "get a room!". No not really. I enjoy kissing but I'm not a fiend.
4. What do you do to relieve stress?
I write. Writing is my stress reliever. It takes a lot to stress me out because I've always been a resilient person, but sometimes I reach my breaking point. So, I lock myself in a quiet area where I can't be disturbed and I write my heart out. Now it can be a story or just what I'm frustrated about, but it helps.
5. What was the special trait in your first lover that made you decide that they were "the one?"
I'm exempt from this question thank you very much!
Well I guess I can speak in "future" terms. I will know he is "the one" if he will allows me to be me. He will let me cry when I feel like crying, he will let me laugh when I need to laugh, and he will let me be quiet when I need to be quiet. He will be able to see through my defenses. No matter what he will offer his support, his presence, his patience and understanding.
6. Do you have guilty pleasure? What is it (or are they)?
1. Peaches and cottage cheese (I got that from my dad)
2. Grapefruit juice (picked this up from my mom)
3. Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (another fave I shared with my dad) This is my one true weakness! The only chocolate candy I can literally gorge myself on. I have never had a man show up on a first date with these as a "gift" but if he did I'd probably marry him. LoL!
7. What do you do that sends a clear signal to your partner that you're interested in an intimate evening?
Nothing too outrageous. If my partner knows me well enough it could be as simple as "the look" or a touch of his arm, thigh, back of his neck, etc. However, the main clue would be if I can't stop touching or running my fingers through his hair. That says I'm ready to take it to bed...and not to sleep!
Bonus: What is the one thing you wish you could go back and tell yourself as a child?
I wrote strange stories as a child. Not "sexual" stuff but "Edgar Allen Poe" type of stuff (freaked my mom out. I was a story away from a Psychologist). People didn't get it but I loved it!
So, I would go back and tell myself as a child, not to worry about what people think about my creative interest (at the time). It will pay off in the long run.
Thank goodness I kept forging forward despite the critics. While my work is no longer "Edgar Allen Poe-ish" or "strange" every one doesn't embrace the I/R genre but I could care less. Readers who follow my work will soon find out that I am a equal opportunity writer...
Okay folks until next Tuesday...

Well Bill,
I have to be honest and say my stories tend to get a little gritty when I'm stress. Makes sense when it reflects my mood. "Hard Working Man" was penned in a stressful time. Part of "Breakfast for Two" was as well. Big difference being you will notice a little more a "romance" element in "Breakfast for Two" vs. "Hard Working Man". In times of "stress" I am using a different part of my brain. So would argue the good part...LOL |

Uh-uh Tracy. I'm wearing the "Queen of Naughty" crown as appropriately deemed by Heidi. You can't give me your crown of "kink" because that you have "full" reign over.
But heck yes I "stress write". I'm not sure of a writer who doesn't. It is a way we all "meditate". What amazes me is how well the story ends up coming out when I do. |
