For The Record....

Tracy Ames
My name is Tracy Ames. I’m an author of interracial erotic fiction. My stories are a sensual feast for your senses; mind, body and soul.
I began writing short stories for monthly newsletters and, believe it or not, my friends. After much encouragement, I’m ready to offer you a taste of what only a few have previously savored.
A native of the San Francisco Bay area, I currently split time between Greenwich CT & New York City with my husband, children and a host of pets.

Person #1 “Someone said Tracy Ames is leaving erotica.”
Person #2 “Bullocks!”
Person #1 “No, I’m serious. I heard she’s leaving at the end of the year.”
Person #2 *Freaks out* “I know Tracy and she ain’t leaving!” *Races home, emails me*
Tracy: *Sigh* "Not again."
For the record: I, Tracy Ames, am not leaving erotica. The misconception was fueled by a comment I made during a recent interview where I said “I’m working on a few crossover projects which will consume a great deal of my time. However, I’m in no way leaving the genre, although my online readers may see a slight difference in my writing style.”
Reading the abovementioned, how was I misquoted?
All artists experiment with writing styles and genres, and some write in multiple genres simultaneously. People change and, contrary to popular belief, artists are people. *gasp*
Besides, it would be very silly of me to leave erotica when I have three manuscripts baking in the oven. So, no, I’m not leaving the genre—I’m working on collaboration projects. I wrote in this blog post and this blog post about my impending deadlines and workload. Again, I’m not going anywhere.
I have decided to return to my book hand (slower paced) and cool the lovin’ just a bit. Not douse the flames—just cool it. That said, I have two new stories for The Hellfire Club.
C’mon guys, did you really think I’d hang up my flog that easily?
That’s about it for right now. I have to put the finishing touches on TCNN and my year end blog. No rest for the wicked.
Again, for clarity: I’m not leaving erotica!
Thank my sister Pam for today's comic

Glad to know that our fearless leader is not jumping ship (By the way, I never considered the possibility). Happy New Years lady!

I wouldn't believe that even if it made CNN and BBC top story. It's what you bleed!!

Exactly Judy! I love erotic romance. Do you know how many stories I've read about stupid race issues? "Oh I can't love you because you're white or black" or "I can't take you home because my family would disapprove"
We're so much deeper than that. I'm staying my behind right where I am! |

Glad to know it, although I hadn't heard the rumors. And yes like you I'm looking for more from IR romance and erotica than just race. Probably why I'm writing some LOL.

I didn't know you were writing. One day you'll have to share. :) I don't understand anyone could've read my comment and taken it the wrong way.

Ha! I have that comic on my desktop. That's what I like to hear. Not that I thought you were leaving. Can't see it happening, it's just too much apart of who you are. I like different genres of literature so even if you wanted to switch I would still read it.

Thanks Cali! Erotica is where I began, I'll never leave it...but that doesn't many I'll become mired in it, lol. That's silly.
I like this comic...Pam's always good for a laugh. She's not evil all of the time. :) |
